Eclipse Season

Eclipse Season is fast approaching… and is synonymous with resets and sudden changes.

Lunar and Solar Eclipses are potent and powerful. They are memorable and they serve as markers for us, our experiences and our memories.

If, like me, you were in Cornwall in 1999 it is likely that you will be able to place where you were on the 11th of August at 11.11 am.

This is when we witnessed a Solar Eclipse.

I was standing alone on the cliffs of Great Bay, St Martins on the Isles of Scilly. It was a time in my life

when I was feeling very alone in a wider sense; and the meeting of my inner world with the pause and reflection in nature as the world darkened made me feel so much better. It reminded me that everything is connected, things are transient and that we are cyclical beings.

Each year brings us Eclipse Seasons, and we will feel the energies even if we cannot ‘see’ them in terms of visually witnessing Eclipse action ourselves.

I have recently experienced times of complete and utter unexpected change and rearrangement of my life during an Eclipse period. It’s important to know how you can get the best from Eclipse Season, and how it may affect you personally depending upon what is in your Astrological make up.

Eclipses themselves are caused by the Moon’s Nodal Axis. Symbolically speaking, the North Node represents our evolution and positive things to come from our fate, our karma and our experiences. The South Node represents what we have learned and what we need to discard as a result of this.

New Moons bring us Solar Eclipse Energy and Full Moons bring us Lunar Eclipse Energy. Each of these Eclipse Moon Phases are super charged – bringing the power of a New or Full Moon multiplied by 100 times; magical, transformative and potent.

This year the Nodes are on the Taurus – Scorpio axis with the North Node in Taurus and the South Node in Scorpio. The Nodes shifted to these signs back in January and will remain here until mid-July 2023.

Eclipse Season Part Two of 2022 can help wrap up what was going on for us in April and May of this year when we experienced the following:

April 30th _ Taurus New Moon and Partial Solar Eclipse.

May 16th - Scorpio Full Moon and Total Lunar Eclipse.

Now we will rejoin that axis again with a Partial Solar Eclipse in Scorpio on the 25th of October and a Total Lunar Eclipse in Taurus on the 8th of November.

Here’s an Eclipse Energy Preview about each one:

On the 25th, as with any New Moon, the Sun and the Moon are conjunct. They will be sitting at 2 degrees of Fixed Water sign Scorpio. Venus will also be conjunct our luminaries, meaning this is a time to love and honour yourself through being open to changes you need. Ruminate on the totemic animals associated with Scorpio energy – the Eagle, the Phoenix and the Scorpion. This is a time for shedding emotional skins, propelling yourself forward and allowing rebirths to begin.

On the Full Moon of the 8th, we see our final roll call for the transformations that began in Eclipse Season. This Lunar Eclipse takes place at 16 degrees of Fixed Earth sign Taurus. Earthy Taurean energies don’t always love change, but this lunation is shaken up by Uranus being exactly conjunct the Moon here. Things we thought couldn’t change absolutely CAN here. This Lunar Eclipse is a time of purging and letting go. As we sit bang in the middle of Taurus this Full Moon ask yourself: what feelings do you need to visualize falling into a dark hole? Go ahead and do this. You can do this. We must - and can - face all that has been shaken for us this Eclipse Season.

How might Eclipse Season affect you personally depending upon what you have in your Birth Chart?

Eclipse Seasons lights up the FIXED signs this year. Those with Sun, Moon or Rising Signs in Taurus or Scorpio will be most affected. The other Fixed Signs of Leo and Aquarius will also feel this reset energy. It

will be enlightening for anyone to check their Birth Chart and see what personal placements (by this I mean Sun, Moon,Rising, Mercury, Venus or Mars) in any of the Fixed Signs. Pay attention to the placement of this in your chart – the house placement will give you an idea of where in your life you can reap the benefits of Eclipse Season. You can expect growth, change and development to happen for you here if you allow yourself to align with the process.

It’s worth bearing in mind that the energy of Eclipse Season doesn’t subscribe exactly to the dates of the lunations. You may feel energy building before Eclipse Season peaks and taking its time to dissipate afterwards.

I love what Eclipse Season can bring us, as change and renewal are such a necessary part of life.

Everyone can align with the shifts in collective consciousness that we experience during this time.

Be open to your soul’s evolution and enjoy your new chapters.
